Lamiflex roadmap for decreasing CO2 emissions

Reducing our carbon footprint

Lamiflex has a commitment to sustainability and ongoing work to improve our operations and business model in order to decrease emissions generated by our operations. Our roadmap and results are updated and made available at least yearly.

Calculating our carbon footprint

In order to reduce our carbon footprint we first need to know how big our emissions are, and where they come from.

  • Scope 1 includes direct emissions coming from our own cars, trucks and machines.
  • Scope 2 includes indirect emissions from energy use such as heating of our facilities and charging electric vehicles.
  • Scope 3 includes indirect emissions, divided into upstream activities/goods (raw materials, machines used in production, transports etc.) and downstream activities/goods (transport of sold goods, waste treatment etc.).

We have calculated 100% of our emissions for scope 1 & 2, and are at about 90% finished with scope 3.

Targets & actions for scope 1-2

20% reductions by 2027

Scope 1 and 2 includes direct CO2 emissions from our operations and inderect emissions coming from energy use. Our target is to reduce these emissions by 20% by 2027.

Actions
  • Switch to using sustainable fuels or to electric vehicles to reduce direct emissions from our own vehicles.

Target & actions for scope 3

15% reductions by 2027

Scope 3 includes indirect emissions from both upstream  and downstream products and services that are needed for our operations, sales and delivery to customers. Our target is to reduce these emissions by 15% by 2027.

Actions
  • Increase the use of recycled raw materials.
  • Request more sustainable transport options from distributors.
  • Avoid air freight and choose boat instead.
  • Request more energy-efficient machines from suppliers.
  • Request supplier data to increase our own data quality.

Actions to influence the climate transition

We can influence others to accelerate their transition to a more sustainable business model or lifestyle.

  1. Customers: Report avoided emissions.
  2. Suppliers: Ste requirements for those suppliers that are responsible for the larger part of our purchased goods and services.
  3. Employees: Support their contributions to the climate transisiton.
  4. Industry & society: Publicly share our targets, actions and results. Cooperate with industry associations.
